BIOGRAPHY

Born in Paris, Lynda Aguilar has followed an unconventional artistic path. Her strong inclination towards artistic creation led her to abandon design and marketing to pursue studies at the Beaux-Arts in Paris. Inspired by Jacques Monory's narrative figuration, the artist presents urban daily life depicted in luminous canvases where pastel colors and explosive hues intertwine.

She is a versatile visual artist who experiments with both painting and sculpture. In terms of painting, she takes equal pleasure in creating colorful and luminous figurative works as well as conceptual and abstract pieces that can strengthen her message. Movement holds significance in her work as it's not an end in itself; it serves the artist's purpose on several levels: whether depicted in her figurative canvases through a flow of people or vehicles or guiding her brushes in her abstract works, movement stages and empowers her compositions.

To create the desired movement, Lynda Aguilar crafts her own brushes, refining them from existing ones, and repeats her strokes like a meticulously choreographed dance in the pursuit of achieving harmony between the gesture and its outcome. It is in the movement depicted in her works and the dedication to the gesture that Lynda AGUILAR finds her equilibrium.
